Getting Started with HoatzinHome

Set up your neighborhood workspace, invite your board, and prepare the core tools your HOA will use first.

Updated June 27, 2026·HoatzinHome Team

HoatzinHome is organized around one neighborhood workspace. Once your workspace exists, board members can manage members, documents, violations, architectural applications, voting, vendors, and resident communication from the same place.

Start with the essentials

Before inviting the whole community, set up the pieces your board needs first:

  1. Confirm the neighborhood name and board admin access.
  2. Invite the board members who should help configure the workspace.
  3. Upload your most important governing documents.
  4. Add or invite a small group of members for testing.
  5. Review the app navigation so the board knows where each workflow lives.

Recommended first week

For a new community, we recommend starting with documents and members first. Those two areas become the foundation for later workflows like architectural review, voting, violations, and messaging.

Board admin responsibilities

Board admins can manage community-facing records and operational workflows. They should understand that HoatzinHome preserves records for future boards, so comments, decisions, and status changes should be clear enough for someone else to understand later.
